  Joe Vining, Club President

A native Texan, Joe Vining has been around cars his entire life.  Joe moved to Austin for college and has lived in the Austin area ever since.  Active in several sports car clubs in the Austin area, he now owns a 1961 black Sebring-style MGA and a 1971 red MGB.  He served as director of planning for the City of Round Rock and vice-president of the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce before retiring and beginning his own consulting business.  He and his wife, Karla, live in Round Rock.

  Bobby Galvez, Club Vice President

Bobby was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He completed college in Washington, D.C. and Virginia, where his first car was a 1967 MGB which he hated leaving behind when it was time to return to Honduras where he worked for about 20 years in architecture and planning. MG's weren't around down there so he owned a BMW 2000 Touring in which he thoroughly enjoyed exceeding the speed limits on the mountain roads. He and wife Cindy made the move to the Austin area in the fall of 1993 where he transitioned into residential real estate. About 10 years ago he missed having an MG, so he found a 1979 MGB and not long after a 1952 TD joined it. The MG's led to meeting the great people of Capital City  MG Club, which in time honored him by having him serve for four years as club president.

Trish Hardy, Club Secretary & Membership Coordinator

Trish grew up in Canada and met her husband Scott in Calgary, where she ended her career in HR working for a ski resort. They drove their MGB from Calgary to Houston in a memorable eight days. She is an avid gardener and artist, cooks wonderful meals, and still finds time to keep the kids and grandchildren in line.

  Scott Hardy, Club Treasurer

Born and raised in Cleveland, Scott escaped to Canada for 40 years, where he became a pipeline engineer and raised a family. The Hardys fled the deep freeze in Calgary and moved to Texas in 2019 with their teal blue 1972 MGB. They are now domiciled in Dripping Springs to take advantage of the fine driving roads in Hill Country.

  Phil Ostroff, Club Newsletter Editor

Phil was born in the UK, grew up in Australia, and now lives in Liberty Hill. He owns a 1973 British racing green MGB, which he found in Oklahoma. Phil works as an analyst for a security firm in Austin and is married with two children.

Ed Rogus, Club Drive Coordinator & Webmaster

Ed is originally from Central Pennsylvania but has lived in Austin since 1978. He joined CCMGC in 2018 and is a retired Manufacturing Engineer. He and his wife, Carol, have a 1974 MGB that they drove from Pennsylvania to Austin (with a cat) when they moved here.

      Craig Burchsted, Club Regalia Manager

  Dave Braun, Club Technical Advisor

Dave Braun has been playing unsupervised with LBCs since his college days at the University of Minnesota where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He owned two Triumph Spitfires before becoming the caretaker of his 1952 MG TD in 1980 which is still in the family in his youngest son's care. Dave has completed two car restorations and is working on his third. He has presented multiple technical seminars at GOFs, NAMGBR conventions, and the "all MG" conventions sponsored by the North American Council of MG Registers. Dave has written scores of technical columns for the MG Driver, the magazine of NAMGBR, for which he was awarded the inaugural "MGB Driver Best Contributing Author Award" in 2012. He has served as the Technical Coordinator for the NAMGBR since 2016. Dave lives with Diane and their dog Dakota in Georgetown, Texas, where he consults as an airplane engine designer and is delegated by the FAA to make approvals on their behalf.
